Clifton has had over 15 years experience as a senior housing professional in Wales. Before that he spent nearly 10 years in London where he worked for a local authority and a housing association. Clifton has the skills and experience to help you with your requirements whether they be:

Latest Developments
From 1 April 2004, Clifton was appointed Chair of North Wales Probation Area Board. In June 2004, Clifton successfully applied to join the Governance Working Party of the Probation Boards Association.

Since establishing the Cymru Equality and Diversity Consortium (CEDC) in August 2003 with two other consultants, the Consortium has successfully delivered the BME (Black Minority Ethnic) Strategies for a number of Welsh local authorities and housing association clients including Newport City Council, Bridgend County Borough Council, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Vale of Glamorgan, Powys, United Welsh Housing Association and Neath Port Talbot.

In June 2004, CEDC "signed off" jointly with the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru, the Welsh Assembly funded "BME Housing Good Practice Guide" which is due to be distributed to all social landlords in Wales by the end of June 2004.

The focus in coming months will be
  • The delivery of diversity and race awareness training
  • The implementation of BME housing strategies that are now in place
  • Drawing up diversity strategies for new clients
  • Delivery of training on the new anti social behaviour legislation
  • Helping clients to develop more imaginative and supportive strategies when dealing with antisocial behaviour
Training and strategy work will also be delivered to clients in other sectors such as education and criminal justice and will be carried out on behalf of clients based in England as well as in Wales.
